Led Zeppelin's second album was recorded during the precious little downtime they had on their endless 1969 world tour. It took them months to record in studios all across America and Europe, yet somehow it sounds cohesive. The track listing almost reads like a greatest hits collection: "Whole Lotta Love," "Thank You," "Heartbreaker," "What Is And What Should Never Be" and "Bring It On Home. They didn't want to cut anything, so they simply made it a double record and filled it out with outtakes from the past few albums. Songs like "Kashmir" and "Trampled Underfoot" are near-flawless tracks, while outtakes like "Boogie with Stu" (featuring Rolling Stones keyboardist Ian Stewart) are lots of fun. In an odd twist of fate, the actual song "Houses of the Holy" didn't surface until this record.

The discography of the English rock band Led Zeppelin consists of eight studio albums, four live albums, nine compilation albums, sixteen singles and eight music downloads. Formed in London in 1968, the group consisted of guitarist Jimmy Page, singer Robert Plant, bass player John Paul Jones, and drummer John Bonham. The band pioneered the concept of album-oriented rock and often refused to release popular songs as singles.

Led Zeppelin is the debut album by English rock band Led Zeppelin. It was released on 12 January 1969 in the United States and on 31 March in the United Kingdom by Atlantic Records. The album was recorded in September and October 1968 at Olympic Studios, London, shortly after the band's formation. It contains a mix of original material worked out in the first rehearsals, and remakes and rearrangements of contemporary blues and folk songs

Led Zeppelin were an English rock band who recorded 108 songs between 1968 and 1980. Their self-titled debut album, Led Zeppelin, released in early 1969, contained songs that were influenced by the genres of blues, hard rock and heavy metal

Led Zeppelin II starts off with Whole Lotta Love, the best song on the album; then goes to What Is And What Should Never Be, the second best on the album. Third is The Lemon Song, which has one of, if not THE best bass solo in classic rock. Fourth is Thank You, one of the more mellow and beautiful songs on the album. This is the only Zeppelin album where I don't feel the need to skip a single track on it any time I listen to it. On the debut I would skip Black Mountain Side. On III, I would skip most of the second side.
