Chelmsford Cathedral in the city of Chelmsford, Essex, United Kingdom, is dedicated to St Mary the Virgin, St Peter and St Cedd. It became a cathedral when the Anglican Diocese of Chelmsford was created in 1914 and is the seat of the Bishop of Chelmsford. On Friday the 28th April I was singing in the Cathedral with The Chelmsford Male Voice Choir at a charity concert. There are regular musical events on Friday lunch times in the Cathedral and I believe that they are mainly free to attend. The Cathedral was packed and the atmosphere was magical. A really beautiful building both inside and out and well worth a visit, but more so on a Friday lunch time. Date of experience: April 2017. Ask Richard P about Chelmsford Cathedral.
