Whitfield, who founded The Dixie Echoes and The Florida Boys. Whitfield, only just a couple of years earlier, had yielded his bass singing role of the Florida Boys to spend more time at home. But as the country entered the first year of the 1960s, the desire to sing lured Whitfield to form another quartet that he named The Messengers. renamed the group to The Dixie Echoes Quartet. Inside Out" is a song by the British–American supergroup the Traveling Wilburys from their 1990 album Traveling Wilburys Vol. 3. It was written by all the members of the band, which had been reduced to a foursome following the death of Roy Orbison in December 1988, and it was the first song they worked on for the album.
