Dinosaur is the debut studio album by the alternative rock band Dinosaur Jr. It was released in 1985 on Homestead Records. The album exhibits a folkier side of the band than on future releases, but some of the tracks on the album showed off a much heavier, more hardcore punk-based side to the band in songs such as "Does it Float", "Mountain Man", and "Bulbs of Passion".
Farm is the ninth studio album by American alternative rock band Dinosaur Jr. It is the band's first release on the record label Jagjaguwar. The European label PIAS Recordings recalled the affected copies to exchange them with correct ones.
Dinosaur Jr. – Farm. 이블: Jagjaguwar – JAG 150. 형식: 2 Vinyl, LP, Album. Is the US pressing of this album really 180 grams? Can anyone confirm for me? Thanks.
Beyond, the first album to feature the original Dinosaur Jr. lineup since their 1980s heyday, was so surprisingly good it was tempting to call it a fluke. Tempting, but wrong- two years after its release, it still sounds great, on par with the early, hallowed triumvirate of Dinosaur, You're Living All Over Me, and Bug. For any cynics still chalking Beyond up to luck, Farm should blast the scales from your jaded eyes. Energetic, confident, and catchy, it's even more compelling than Beyond

If Farm lacks the element of surprise of Dinosaur J. s 2007 comeback, Beyond, that's just about the only thing it lacks: in every other respect it is its equal, a muscular, melodic monster that stands among the best albums the band has made. Again, what impresses is a combination of vigor and consistency, consistency not only in regards to the songs on Farm, but how it picks up on the thread running throughout the band's career, feeling as if it could have arrived in the early '90s, minus some subtle distinctions in production and attitude.
If anything, that just means it's good. Back when Beyond was released in 2007 it had been twenty-three years since Dinosaur Jr. had first formed. The album wasn't quite as good as some of their earlier recordings of course, but the remarkable thing about it was that it had the same youthful vibe that made You're Living All Over Me and Bug so entertaining to listen to in the first place.

Initial copies of this release were recalled. The problem affects copies of Farm purchased in "European shops", according to the band's website. Copies with the number 5414939004926 are affected. A mastering issue is at the root of the problem. "While duplicating the original master ... the software programme 'doubled' the sound layers. This resulted in a 3dB increase in volume." This explains why some releases have a sticker over the barcode, as although the issue was rectified and the CD replaced, the packaging is identical and was simply amended by applying a sticker over the barcode.
