referencing Menos El Oso, CD, Album, S-047. Great album, I love Minus the Bear, but the vinyl version is not much different than the download I have. I do not think this was mastered with vinyl in mind. Probably should stick to any non-vinyl version.

Interpretaciones del Oso, an album of remixed songs from their second full-length album Menos el Oso, was released on February 20, 2007, by Suicide Squeeze Records. The band's third full-length album, Planet of Ice, was released on August 21, 2007, by Suicide Squeeze Records and contains ten tracks. On July 10, 2013, Minus the Bear announced that they would release Acoustics II, a ten-track LP with eight acoustic versions of old songs and two new tracks.

Sadly, this is mostly true. Menos El Oso’ (Minus the Bear in Spanish) is for the most part a considerably bland affair that doesn’t really go anywhere in its 11 tracks and 45 minute duration. Whereas the ‘They make Beer Commercials like this . had much more variation, influence of their earlier sound and was obviously a lot shorter, this takes the general surface sound of that . and sprawls it out into a whole album  . It’s a real shame, considering just how good their last album was, you expect a lot better from a band that showed the potential to become one of the biggest and best bands of our time. However this is just a drone from one end to the other, it really doesn’t go anywhere.

Renews automatically. Menos El Oso, an earlier work released in 2005, is full of tunes that run from good to great. The sound has it all from excellent guitar work, electronics added where it counts, great percussion and smooth vocals. Minus the Bear is high energy experimental rock at its best and this album does not disappoint.

Minus the Bear continue their brand of quirky-cum-arty rock with light, airy harmonies and somewhat experimental guitars on "The Game Needed Me" as lead singer Jake Snider doles out lines in the vein of Cake's lead singer. Partially spoken, partially sung, the overall effort is decent but wouldn't whet everyone's sonic palette. When the band opts for a pedestrian, atmospheric pace as they do on "El Torrente," it seems to fall flat, more of a breather or experimental filler than anything truly worth repeated listens. Catchier is "Pachuca Sunrise" with a great hop in its step that brings to mind something that Death Cab for Cutie might attempt at some point.
