There is something in Bob Tilton songs that most "Emo" bands can never seem to achieve, and that is real emotion - guitar riffs and vocal melodies that are so sad and sweet they are somehow uplifting.

The Leading Hotels of the World is a collection of guitar-based, emo-indie arrangements that are fronted by British scenester Bob Tilton. His debut album features a moody composition of elaborate anti-pop songs that swing from a presence of melancholy to angst that's contained within studio boundaries. These repressed emotions result in a package of unpredictable chord progressions and confrontational vocals that are a cough away from screaming. What this album lacks in catchy riffs it makes up for with complicated originality.
