Margaret Moran Cho (Korean: 조모란; Hanja: 趙牡丹; born December 5, 1968) is an American stand-up comedian, actress, fashion designer, author, and singer-songwriter. Cho is best known for her stand-up routines, through which she critiques social and political problems, especially regarding race and sexuality. She rose to prominence after creating and starring in the ABC sitcom All-American Girl (1994–95), and became an established stand-up comic in the subsequent years.

Cho doing stand-up in June 2005. In 2002, the show Notorious . the title was derived from slain rapper The Notorious . dealt with the comedian having been reared in 1970s San Francisco and her bisexuality. The next year, Cho made another stand-up film, Revolution, which was released in 2004. In 2005, Cho started promoting and touring with her new show, Assassin.
Cho’s latest comedic tour, Notorious . arrives in select theaters on July 3rd. The fabulously embittered fag hag calls the only gay bar in Scotland (named . Bloom, after Bette Midler’s Beaches character) the gayest thing ever ; she says it should have been called Fuck Me In The Ass right before segueing straight into tales about her anus and G-Spot. She pokes her way through every orifice in the body; she emerges weary and bloodied, taking aim at our discomfort with our bodies. Though Beam had clear ideas about how he wanted the album to proceed, he also welcomed and appreciated these gestures of spontaneity. It’s what can potentially make music really exciting, recording music and also playing music, he says. It’s sort of losing the safety net and stretching out.
