Georgia's Harvey Milk may be wickedly brilliant, tectonically huge, and caustically hilarious, but they don't seem all that happy about any of it. Still their ever-present grimace has never felt quite as fixed as it does on their latest, A Small Turn of Human Kindness. The Best Game in Town, which played at times like a sampler of Milk's many past successes, neither weird nor challenging enough, and Small Turn is a sharp shift towards the slow, somber, and fucking bleak

Album My Love Is Higher Than Your Assessment of What My Love Could Be. A Small Turn of Human Kindness Lyrics. Sardines again, Joey? I'm so sick of all this. Why are we out here? Why did we leave San Antonio?" The fire rose as she said this, showing that her eyes were moist "There's still a half a Nestle's Crunch bar in the bag. I'm sick of all this, too, ya know.

For those who entered Harvey Milk's discography at Life. The Best Game in Town, and then proceeded to stop immediately, A Small Turn of Human Kindness is going to be one hell of a surprise. Bleaker and slower than its predecessor, A Small Turn is much more of a complete listen, with its seven tracks often bleeding together; the whole album often stops and starts and climaxes like one huge, forty-minute composition. Everything is extremely deliberate and exacting; songs like "I Know This is All My Fault" have no purpose other than to slowly build suspense throughout its entire.

One listen to A Small Turn Of Human Kindness reveals that Athens, Georgia's Harvey Milk are not one of those bands. Two years after their third incarnation released it's masterpiece Lif. he Best Game In Town, they sound more pissed off than ever. album Special Wishes. A Small Turn is named after the opening track from their debut album My Love Is Higher Than Your Assessment Of What My Love Could Be, and fittingly sees the band return almost exclusively to that record's monolithic sludge sound. Designed to be listened to in one sitting, A Small Turn is more like a symphony than a rock album, each track segueing into the next with riffs carrying over from one track to another.

Harvey Milk is a band that does not take itself seriously.
