The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! (also known as simply The Naked Gun) is a 1988 American crime comedy film. The film features fast-paced slapstick comedy, including many visual and verbal puns and gags.

Incompetent police Detective Frank Drebin must foil an attempt to assassinate Queen Elizabeth I. Parody of WWII spy movies in which an American rock and roll singer becomes involved in a Resistance plot to rescue a scientist imprisoned in East Germany. A rerun of many of the gags from the television series Police Squad! (1982). An Airplane! (1980)-type spoof, this time with the an incompetent Lieutenant Frank Drebin, who always "gets his man". Visual gags come thick and fast, and it's impossible to catch them all with one viewing. The plot: Queen Elizabeth II of England is coming to town, and Vincent Ludwig has plans to assassinate her using a brainwashed baseball player. Written by Rob Hartill. Plot Summary Plot Synopsis.

Song: "Fuck The Police" (1988) Album: Straight Outta Compton. And that was it. A moment in American culture had been started, like a flame that trails a spill of gasoline all the way to the pump. That was all it really took for Cube to get his point across. From the places where they oppress people, and treat them like shit. Fuck them, from the underground of culture, of rap, and fuck the police because you can't help but listen as it's said, words that have been spoken privately so often, but recorded? And made into a hit? Not until that moment. And with three words, . changed everything in a way so many of the recorded words in hip-hop that would come before them and after them never did or ever will

Fuck tha Police" is a protest song by American hip-hop group . A that appears on the 1988 album Straight Outta Compton as well as on the . A's Greatest Hits compilation. Written shortly after the group was harassed by the Torrance Police Department, the lyrics protest police brutality and racial profiling and was ranked number 425 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

Our first album as the Police was recorded piecemeal in a run-down studio above a dairy in Leatherhead. We had been together as a band for roughly a year by then. The music is straight forward rock for the most part, with low key melodies supporting strong lyrics and a definite beat. Best cuts: 'Roxanne', 'Born In The 50's', 'Can't Stand Losing You', 'So Lonely'. The Police toured Europe with Cherry Vanilla and Wayne County before releasing this explosive debut album. Outlandos d'Amour' includes reggae love songs with heartbreak lyrics of utter simplicity ('Next to You', 'So Lonely', 'Hole in My Life' and 'Can't Stand Losing You'). The rest of the cuts are incisive social satire.
