Originally released November 2, 1956. Deluxe high-gloss tip-on album jacket. Features: 200 gram Deep groove pressings, just like the originals where there is a deep groove that appears to be cut into the record label area of the disk, the result of the die that was used in the old presses in the ‘50s. Original tip-on jacket facsimiles with the original thick cardboard stock. The monos are pressed with a flat-edge, no groove-guard flat profile, just like the originals.

The Young Bloods" is a very typical and very enjoyable Prestige jam session. It was recorded on November 2, 1956 and features Donald Byrd on trumpet, Phil Woods on alto sax (these two are actually listed as co-leaders), Al Haig on piano, Teddy Kotick on bass, and Charlie Persip on drums. There is nothing extraordinary on this session, as it is a straight ahead blowing session of the period, but it does find all players in top form.
