This four-disc reissue includes the entire concert plus songs from later nights. The 52 tracks catch the musicians - a who’s who of Clapton-related players, including George Harrison - at their peak.

In his 2007 autobiography, Eric Clapton claimed that Delaney & Bonnie and Friends were the first white group to sign a contract with Stax. Despite production and session assistance from Donald "Duck" Dunn, Isaac Hayes, and other Stax mainstays of the era, the album was not successful-perhaps because of poor promotion, as it was one of 27 albums simultaneously released by Stax Elektra and Apple contracts. Delaney and Bonnie are generally best remembered for their albums On Tour with Eric Clapton and Motel Shot. This 42-minute, eight-song live album, cut at Croydon late in 1969, is not only the peak of Delaney & Bonnie's output, but also the nexus in the recording and performing careers of Eric Clapton and George Harrison. Vocally, Delaney & Bonnie were never better than they come off on this live set, and the 11-piece band sounds tighter musically than a lot of quartets that were working at the time, whether they're playing extended blues or ripping through a medley of Little Richard songs
