Delaney & Bonnie & Friends With Eric Clapton - On Tour album mp3

Recorded with Eric Clapton, On Tour features Delaney & Bonnie’s blend of country, rock, blues, and gospel. It includes I’m Coming Home. - Kenneth M. Cassidy, The All-Music Guide to Rock, 1995. Delaney & Bonnie & Friends on Tour with Eric Clapton is a joyous live romp tinged with soul-satisfying gospel. Clapton is loose and plays at his searing best, while Delaney’s forceful vocal delivery and Bonnie’s lead and harmony vocals sway between over-the-top dynamics and reflective balladry Cut at London’s Royal Albert Hall while the Bramletts were touring with Clapton in 1969, this live album featured wicked performances of the kind of country and boogie that would define Southern rock. This four-disc reissue includes the entire concert plus songs from later nights. The 52 tracks catch the musicians - a who’s who of Clapton-related players, including George Harrison - at their peak.
In his 2007 autobiography, Eric Clapton claimed that Delaney & Bonnie and Friends were the first white group to sign a contract with Stax. Despite production and session assistance from Donald "Duck" Dunn, Isaac Hayes, and other Stax mainstays of the era, the album was not successful-perhaps because of poor promotion, as it was one of 27 albums simultaneously released by Stax Elektra and Apple contracts. Delaney and Bonnie are generally best remembered for their albums On Tour with Eric Clapton and Motel Shot. While not a Delaney & Bonnie album per se, Bonnie Bramlett does appear with Delaney on three of this album's twelve selections. Martin, Greg (2002).
On Tour With Eric Clapton (8-Trk, Album).
This 42-minute, eight-song live album, cut at Croydon late in 1969, is not only the peak of Delaney & Bonnie's output, but also the nexus in the recording and performing careers of Eric Clapton and George Harrison. On Tour features Clapton performing the same blend of country, blues, and gospel that would characterize his own early solo ventures in 1970.
Vocally, Delaney & Bonnie were never better than they come off on this live set, and the 11-piece band sounds tighter musically than a lot of quartets that were working at the time, whether they're playing extended blues or ripping through a medley of Little Richard songs
LP (12" album, 33 rpm). Eric Clapton Delaney & Bonnie Format: Vinyl. On Tour With Eric Clapton. Clapton continued to play and record with Delaney & Bonnie following Blind Faith's dissolution, and ON TOUR WITH ERIC CLAPTON recorded in December '69 and released in mid-1970 captures a peak moment in their star-crossed musical paths.
Delaney and Bonnie Bramlett assembled an all-star group of "friends" in 1969 for a weeklong tour of England, a legendary excursion that would produce On Tour With Eric Clapton, one of rock's most powerful and enduring live albums. Clocking in at a mere 40 minutes, the original left fans wanting more for decades. Along with unreleased versions of all the songs from the original, this reissue also contains several songs not featured on the 1970 album, including "I Don't Know Why" a track the Bramletts penned with Clapton; "My Baby Specializes" and "Everybody Loves A Winner" from the Bramlett's debut Home; "Get Ourselves Together" from the couple's 1969 follow-up Accept No Substitute
