Outer Limits biography This is one of the most original Japanese progrock bands, they were active in the Eighties and made a serie of interesting albums. Most of them contain classical sounding keyboards, cheerful violinplay, Japanese (and some English) vocals and many waves of Mellotron. The most obvious hints are KING CRIMSON (Mellotron and guitar), UK (keyboards and violin) and PFM (classical sound and violin). Okay I think OUTER LIMITS or the album Stromatolite be the golden standards of symphonic progressive rock scene. Indeed I can understand they remind us the sounds by King Crimson or UK because their sounds should be heavier, stricter than of another Japanese band. Third album of Outer Limits from 1987. This is maybe the most acomplished OL album from the'80's. Musically speaking is not far from the previouses two albums, but with a much tighter compositions and strong ideas.

The Outer Limits – Apocalypto (Stormspell Records) Dead Rhetoric. Returning for their second studio album, The Outer Limits hail from Bulgaria to deliver another solid round of thrash mechanics on Apocalypto deadrhetoric. If you love classic Bay Area thrash metal and especially bands such as Forbidden, Exodus, Defiance, Heathen, look no further. Apocalypto, by THE OUTER LIMITS.

The Outer Limits" was also Voivod's first album without original bassist Blacky, who had left the band after the release of the but commercially unsuccessful 1991 album "Angel Rat". Uncomfortable with the idea of bringing in an immediate replacement for Blacky, Voivod opted to have session musician Pierre St-Jean play bass guitar for the recording of the album.

Wow, I just got this record; amazing. Golden Gate Park, San Fransisco on June 15, 1996. I have never heard these tracks before. Super sound quality (Soundboard). "Human Behaviour" and "Violently Happy" are fantastic versions. Not like the studio versions on "Debut". And of cause the 2 last tracks from "The White Room" are also fantastic. I know this record is very rare, but if you ever get acros it, buy it !!!
