It was recorded live on tour in 1975 and features "The Funkettes" - Lorraine Feather and Jana King. Early pressings of the album (including record-club pressings) simply state the band's name as "Grand Funk" on the front cover and spine, but have the full name on the record labels.

Caught In The Act (CITA) were a boyband created in 1993 by producer Cees Van Leeuwen, who had previously worked with Dolly Dots and Berdien Stenberg. They consisted of Bastiaan Ragas and Eloy De Jong from The Netherlands and Benjamin Boyce and Lee Baxter from England. With little success in The Netherlands where they were based, the band were a big success in Germany and went on to sell more than 4 million records around the world.
Caught In The Act, the second live album by Grand Funk Railroad, made its US chart debut on 13 September 1975, starting a ten-week ru. The new album, a double, was recorded on tour in the early part of 1975 and featured some 80 minutes’ worth of Grand Funk’s live extravaganza, which included their backing singers the Funkettes
Caught in The Act documents the 1983 tour for the Kilroy Was Here album. Kilroy was a concept album with all band members playing specific characters in the story of music censorship. Most Styx fans want to compare this album to 1997's Return to Paradise. Caught in the Act slightly has the edge as the band had more energy, were younger and were still an active touring band at the time. The album leads off with the studio track "Music Time", which was a US charting hit peaking at in the Spring of 1984 yet doesn't appear on either Greatest Hits 1 or 2 or the recently released Come Sail Away Anthology, so you will have to get the track here and a great song (when I first got the album on.
