Elvis Presley (released in the UK as Elvis Presley Rock n' Roll) is the debut studio album by American rock and roll singer Elvis Presley. It was released on RCA Victor, catalog number LPM-1254, in March 1956. The recording sessions took place on January 10 and January 11 at the RCA Victor recording studios in Nashville, Tennessee, and on January 30 and January 31 at the RCA Victor studios in New York.

Italian singer, Bobby Solo, recorded it both in English and Italian in the 1960s. Ti senti sola stasera?" can be viewed on YouTube. In 2019, a version was released by Terry Manning on his album "Playin' In Elvis' House" which was actually recorded in the first house Elvis bought in Memphis. There is also an answer song. In 1960, Dodie Stevens (of "Pink Shoelaces" fame) answered Elvis and recorded, "Yes, I'm Lonesome Tonight. The song of Presley was used in the classic film A Brighter Summer Day by Edward Yang, and the 1991 film is now considered one of the best of the best films ever made. Heartbreak Hotel", "I Was the One".

Lyrics to "Heartbreak Hotel" song by Elvis Presley: Well, since my baby left me Well, I found a new place to dwell Well, it's down at the end of Lonely. Well, now, if your baby leaves you And you got a tale to tell Well, just take a walk down Lonely Street To Heartbreak Hotel. Where you will be, you will be so lonely baby You will be lonely You'll be so lonely, you could die. Oh, and although it's always crowded You still can find some room For broken hearted lovers to cry there in their gloom. Where they get so, they get so lonely baby They're so lonely They'll be so lonely, they could die. Submit Corrections. Thanks to Alyssa Vuskalns for correcting these lyrics. Heartbreak Hotel (оригинал Elvis Presley). Отель разбитых сердец (перевод Алекс). Well, since my baby left me, С тех пор как моя крошка бросила меня, I found a new place to dwell. It's down at the end of lonely street. Оно в конце одинокой улицы. В Отеле разбитых сердец. You make me so lonely baby, Мне так одиноко без тебя, крошка, I get so lonely, Мне так одиноко, I get so lonely I could die.

Heartbreak Hotel" was the second song Elvis recorded that day in January, and it became the first record he released on his new label, RCA. Elvis had come across the song - written by Gainesville songwriters Mae Boren Axton and Tommy Durden - at a Nashville disc jockey convention the previous November. Durden had gotten the impetus for "Heartbreak Hotel" after reading a newspaper article about the suicide of a young man who had left behind a bitter note that read simply: "I walk a lonely street. Released on March 13, 1956, Elvis Presley sold over 360,000 copies by the end of April. Elvis Presley also became the first album in music history to sell over a million copies. It reached No. 1 on Billboard's Top LPs chart, and launched an unprecedented five extended-play (EP) albums.

The album has been re-mastered by Vic Anesini. Anesini has also re-mastered the other Elvis Legacy albums recently put out. I have The Complete 50's Master's, Essential 60's Masters ., Essential 70's Masters, Today, Tommorow, and Forever, Elvis Close-Up, and Elvis Platinum-A Life In Music box sets. It's really the singles which stand out most ironically; Heartbreak Hotel, I Was the One, Hound Dog, Don't Be Cruel etc. There's some really cool stuff in the album material however; One-Sided Love Affair, Trying To Get To You, Love Me, So Glad You're Mine etc. I wish I was around in '56 to hear this stuff over the radio. No internet streaming, no downloading, just vinyl. If you heard a song you liked, off to the record store with your allowance money/weekend-job cash.
