The first 1,000 records issued were enclosed with a card calendar with color photos of a little girl on a bed. Another pressing of 1,000 copies was recut with false track markers (the "bands" visible on a vinyl disc) to give it the appearance of having sixteen tracks all of exactly equal length.
Comes packaged in plastic sleeve with sticker saying.
The Second Annual Report of Throbbing Gristle. Yea yea twist again better than we did last summer, laughing in the face of all rock and roll historians collectors revivalists purists inquisition members puritans bores creeps and not forgetting the fussy midgets with obscene hairdos.
It is a combination of live and studio recordings made from October 1976 to September 1977.
The First Annual Report was shelved by the group, and has only surfaced via unauthorized releases and bootlegs. As with most of TG's output, and certainly everything prior to the 1978 single "United," this stuff is harsh, bleak, and utterly uncompromising.

NotesIndustrial Music For Industrial People.
"One side of this record has been assembled from tapes made at four out of the five live occasions and at the studio of Industrial Records in London. Side Two consists of the entire original movie soundtrack of a film produced by Coum Transmissions called 'After Cease To Exist' premiered in Arnhem, Holland in July 1977 which Throbbing Gristle were invited to score and perform. It was recorded at the Industrial Records studio.
All recordings were made in one take without any overdubs or any recording treatment other than standard playing procedures that we employ. Within the limitations of the recording techniques used the sound on this record is exactly as it was heard at the moment of its production."
Tracks 10 and 11 are bonus tracks and were originally released as a 7".
