The Further Adventures of Lord Quas is the second studio album by Quasimoto, a hip-hop duo composed of Madlib and his animated alter ego Lord Quas. It was released via Stones Throw Records on May 3, 2005.

Madlib instrumentals for Quasimoto's album The Further Adventures of Lord Quas - now on 2/LP with sleeve. Cover by Jeff Jank depicting Quasimoto inside the same building that we see on the cover of the vocal album. ships out within 3 days. The Further Adventures plays something like a smoked-out comedy/crime Blaxploitation flick, with Madlib and Quas in a more chaotic state then on The Unseen. Further Adventures thrills some, confuses and frustrates others, and in the end, continues to cement Madlib's reputation as one of the most creative and fearlessly skewed creators in hip-hop.

While on The Unseen, he moved through the streets like a ghost, Further Adventures finds him a streetwise inhabitant of his Lost Gates neighborhood, with nearly every possible permutation of low-intensity inner-city conflict covered on tracks like "Bullyshit" (on bullies), "Greenery" (weed), and "Bus Ride" (panhandlers)

Obviously, that's just not the way it works- records can't be rewarded purely based on speculation or concept. Otherwise, Macho Man's Be a Man would be the greatest album of all time. As an album, though, The Further Adventures of Lord Quas doesn't cut it. I'll admit that somewhere in here lies a damn strong record, but it takes a lot of fast-forwarding to find it.

The Further Adventures Of Lord Quas. Album Stones Throw STH2110. Description: Second full-length album by Quasimoto and Madlib.

This time, it's Quasimoto, and it's his sophomore album, The Further Adventures of Lord Quas. This album has the same production of The Unseen, but perhaps not too gritty/raw. I believe Further Adventures was a big departure from the style of The Unseen. Unseen was full of crispy and boom bap beats paired with excellent piano, bass, and trumpet (and just general jazz) samples, along with scratching and overall superb production. Overall, Further Adventures is an excellent album while coming off as more conceptual and experimental than The Unseen. However, it didn't seem to have the "classic" factor as Unseen did and thus people today and then didn't, don't like it. It’s still the same crazy Quas with his usual playful, braggadocio behavior. While there were few features on it like the famous MF DOOM, when they feature, they sure shine, nearly outperforming Quas when doing so.

Lord Quas is most notable for high-pitched vocals. To create this effect, he takes his beats and slows them down considerably before rapping on them. Then after he’s recorded his vocals, he puts the song back to its original BPM. While The Unseen featured more traditional boom bap production, Madlib’s beats are much weirder here on The Further Adventures with more influence from west coast funk and electronic music. The 2005 Quasimoto album was accepted well and continued the Quasimoto tradition of using vocal samples from Melvin Van Peebles. The Further Adventures of Lord Quas Q&A. Madlib is the most creative man on earth right now and anything he touches just seems to turn to gold. On this album he uses soft fusion music from bands such as Weather Report and turns the into this incredible groove like you've never heard before. Bartender talk just blows your mind, as do so many other tracks on this album.
