The Autobiography of Supertramp is the first greatest hits album by the English rock band Supertramp, released in 1986. As Supertramp's first greatest hits album, The Autobiography of Supertramp contains a compilation of the most popular songs from the albums Crime of the Century, Even in the Quietest Moments, Breakfast in America,. and Brother Where You Bound. The CD version and the 2001 remaster also include a song from Crisis? What Crisis?.

The Autobiography of Supertramp is a music boxset/compilation recording by SUPERTRAMP (Crossover Prog/Progressive Rock) released in 1987 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. This album offers no surprises, and fans of Supertramp will already have all the tracks in their original form. This is however a fine collection of their more commercial works. Do not however assume it to be a complete collection of their best works.

The Autobiography of Supertramp is simply the international version of the title released in the United States by A&M as Vol. 9 in the rather confusing Classics series - obviously a forced attempt at label-branding gone awry (or at least nowhere). Released in 1990, The Very Best of Supertramp went a step further, arguably bettering this release by adding or supplanting a song or two, but casual fans are guaranteed to get their money's worth with either one.

For the Supertramp album, see The Autobiography of Supertramp. The Autobiography of a Super-Tramp is an autobiography published in 1908 by the Welsh poet and writer W. H. Davies (1871–1940). A large part of the book's subject matter describes the way of life of the tramp in the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States in the final decade of the 19th century. As Supertramp's first greatest hits album, The Autobiography of Supertramp contains a compilation of the most popular songs from the albums Crime of the Century, Even in the Quietest Moments, Breakfast in America,. The album was also released in the US as Classics Volume 9, part of A&M's 25th Anniversary series (1987). The album was re-released as The Very Best of Supertramp in 2001 in the US with digitally remastered sound and a bonus track "School" as the first track instead of "Goodbye Stranger" which follows afterwards.
