The London Bach Society was founded in 1946 by Paul Steinitz who, at that time, was organist of St Peter's Church, Dulwich Common.
Bach Remixed includes two cantatas sung by Roderick Williams and his own composition Enough, for solo oboe. Bach and the Cosmos: Bach Remixed, Queen Elizabeth Hall Bach and the Cosmos: Bach Remixed, Queen Elizabeth Hall Claudia Pritchard. Music and maths do mix – in fact they overlap in a big way. The English Baroque Soloists is a chamber orchestra playing on period instruments, formed in 1978 by English conductor Sir John Eliot Gardiner. Its repertoire comprises music from the early Baroque period to the Classical period. For Philips it has recorded all of the mature symphonies (as well as the Requiem and Mass in C minor) and for DG Archiv it has recorded the complete piano concerto cycle with Malcolm Bilson, the first on period instruments. 1990 saw the launch of the six-year project to perform throughout Europe, and record for DG Archiv, the seven mature operas by Mozart.

It is used for everything from piano recitals and readings to dance, performance and gigs and has a more intimate atmosphere than the much larger Festival Hall. Excellent seating in comfortable, leather upholstered, chairs and a good pitch between rows which ensures a clear view of the stage. The acoustics are excellent
