Volume 1 is the debut studio album by American alternative rock band CKY. Recorded at The Ground Hog Studios in Holland, Pennsylvania, it was produced, engineered and mixed by guitarist Chad I Ginsburg, and originally released on February 27, 1999 by Distant Recordings and Teil Martin International. Since its initial release under the title Camp Kill Yourself, the album has been reissued a number of times by various record labels with different titles and album covers.

Qwanqwa takes traditional music and rocks it up a bit (Byron Coley, The Wire) and for sure is an incredible experimental traditional Ethiopian rock group that deserves to be played in every living room, at every party and on every radio station from Gondar to Santa Cruz. If you’ve heard the golden age of Ethiopian pop as immortalized by the Ethiopiques series some more recent releases on Mississippi records, and wondered why no one was rocking like that in the now – you can stop wondering. Volume Two is their second album, recorded at Langano Studios in Addis Ababa in 2014.

Qwanqwa needs your help to finish our 3rd album, and for getting us to Poland for our showcase at WOMEX-17! . QWANQWA Volume 3: Five long compositions and one 18 minute wedding medley. A psychedelic experience brought to you by traditional Ethiopian instruments. Painted Violin Case by Kaethe.
