Robert William Scott (January 29, 1937 – November 5, 1990) was an American musician, record producer, and songwriter. Scott was born in Mount Pleasant, New York, and became a pianist, vibraphonist, and singer, and could also play the accordion, cello, clarinet, and double bass.
As a bandleader, he did sessions for Verve, ABC-Paramount, Bethlehem, and Musicmasters. As a songwriter, he won a Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Composition for the song "A Taste of Honey" which he co-wrote with Ric Marlow. He he also co-wrote the song "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" with Bob Russell.

Lerner and Loewe refers to the partnership between lyricist and librettist Alan Jay Lerner and composer Frederick Loewe. Spanning three decades from 1942 to 1960 and again from 1970 to 1972, the pair are best known for being behind the creation of critical on stage successes such as; "My Fair Lady", "Brigadoon", and "Camelot" along with the musical film "Gigi".
