  • Love Me
Is this 180 gram pressing? How good is the quality? Thanks for anwers!!

I did not weigh the discs, they are flat, clean and thick - it is more sth. between 140 and 180 gram I think.Sound quality is on par with modern productions around that era - but the master was obviously a standard resolution digital one (44 KHz/16 Bit maybe 24 Bit). So it does not carry this "Whoooo! Analog!" signature of some older classics. Dynamics and overall level is good, but the vinyl does not stand any chance against the CD/digital versions (clarity, bass response, channel separation, etc.). The only positive thing may be a little less compression at the cost of an overall lower volume. Sad they did not use a highres/analog master for the re-issue.Sounds like a somewhat quieter cousin of the CD - nice to have, but no step forward in sound quality. This might be a good example to compare a "modern, digital and awesome production" to a "somewhat outdated analog reproduction of that awesome digital production". I dig Peters music - but this was not made to serve audiophiles in front of vinyl players. :)jm2c of course...
