This Is Hardcore is the sixth album by English band Pulp, first released in March 1998. It came three years after their breakthrough album, Different Class, and was eagerly anticipated. In 2013, NME ranked it at number 166 in its list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. As with the band's previous album, Different Class, it reached No. 1 in the UK Albums Chart, and was well received critically, earning Pulp a third successive nomination for the 1998 Mercury Prize.

The Peel Sessions is a double live album by Pulp released on 23 October 2006, containing the recordings the band made for John Peel's Radio 1 show and live performances which had been broadcast by the BBC. The first disc features all songs performed "live in the studio" during the band's four visits to the John Peel show. The first performance include previously unreleased material from Pulp's earliest era. Other three sessions are from His 'n' Hers, Different Class and We Love Life periods.

Lyrics to "Party Hard" song by Pulp: I used to try very hard to make friends with everyone on the planet. I've seen you havin' it, havin' it yeah but now you've just had it. Entertainment can sometimes be hard when the thing that you love is the same thing that's holding you down. This man is dangerous, he just shed his load on your best party frock. Before you enter the palace of wisdom you have to decide: are you ready to rock? Oh can you party with me? Can you show me a good time? Do you even know what one looks like?
