Souls at Zero Lyrics. No seed will grow of this barren earth Our hope, unborn has died I've slept in the dirt Under the light of the moon And I know our souls have perished. Calling to those that would hear But I am deaf Clawing at those that would feel But I am dead to my own fears. Our cancer has grown into a stone This water tastes like poison Your doomsday machine towers above me To instill my vision. Glowing pyre in the wind Like a glowing pyre in the wind I stand to heal

Hahahahaha the cover reminds me of the Wizard of Oz for some reason. Thanks dude! Every band has to start to somewhere, but the young Neurosis was already sound wise and experienced on Souls at Zero. Sorry, the way you have this worded doesn't make sense.

At the time it might have seemed more like Alternative Tentacles' way to get some thrash metal action on its roster, perhaps. But Souls at Zero reveals something else again - namely, a band able to draw on everything from goth rock drama and medieval folk stylings to a tribal stomp and dub pace to epic howls to the universe, and then able to put it all back together again in one jaw-dropping combination after another
