The Pink Opaque is a 1986 compilation album by Cocteau Twins, composed of tracks recorded between 1982 and 1985. A joint release by the UK-based 4AD (the band's label) and the American Relativity Records, it was the band's first official domestic .  . After signing to 4AD in 1982, Cocteau Twins released three albums and five EPs between the autumn of 1982 and January 1985. Despite having no American distribution, the band was gaining popularity in the United States on college radio, particularly with the 1984 single "Pearly Dewdrops' Drops.

LP (12" album, 33 rpm). Cocteau Twins Format: Vinyl. Back in 1986, The Pink Opaque brought together the best of the Cocteau Twins’ early works to become their first official release in the US. Already a cult band on college radio, some classics like ‘Pearly-Dewdrops' Drops’ and ‘Aikea-Guinea’ were given new mixes for this release, while it also featured ‘Millimillenary’, the first run out for incoming band member Simon Raymonde.
